Whenever I got stressed a lot, I watch horror movies.
Last weekend I watched several horror movies.
Most of movies listed below are not recommendable but some movies are nice. And I don't want to do mistake that I would watch these movies again after forgetting those movies.
1. Dread(dir:Antony DiBlasi, USA, 2009)
Just so so movie
Young guy took experiment about people's panic. There are not so many violent scene in the movie. Most of horror came out from imagination. This movie spurred my horror so well. Also the movie itself has nice twist ending. But rhythm of movie was very lose.
Most of virtues of this movie came from original novel by Clive Barker. Clive Barker seemed satisfied with this movie judging from his interview.
2. Tucker and Dale vs Evil(dir: Eli Craig, USA, 2010)
Awesome and very brilliant comic horror movie. Suburb slasher movies are huge part of slasher - horror movie. Some nice looking young girls and boys go to suburb and they are murdered one by one by insane country man killer. This is what I mean by "suburb horror movie" I think [Dead Camp] franchise is very good example to describe this.
But this movie twisted conventions of suburb horror movie. Suburb locals are good people and city kid is bad ass. Movie itself is very hilarious.
3. Gnaw
Yep. Another suburb psycho cannibal killer. Waste of time.
4. Lake Dead
Yep. Another suburb psycho cannibal killer. Waste of time.
5. Dead Camp4
Famous suburb psycho killer movie franchise. This time, location was changed to isolated hospital. Not bad but watching this four times is boring.
6. Population 436
A guy from government visit a isolated village to conduct census. He found something strange.
Pure thriller movie.
7. Sennentuntschi
Horror movie from Swiss. Story about legend which called Sennentuntschi.
It is similar with Pygmalion in Greek myth. But this kills and peels the skin of person and makes another scarecrow. "The Screenplay cleverly lets the story unfold at its own pace - there are no rushed developments or forced plot turns. Instead we get the local mythology slowly bleeding into what could be deemed a routine cop thriller so much so that by the time Sennentuntshi has played out; it becomes almost impossible to categorise." And I enjoyed this Swiss horror movie.
