주말에 다르덴 형제의 L'Enfant(2005)을 보고 Promesse도 다시 보았다. 1996년에 찍은 Promesse(Promise)와 2005년의 L'Enfant(Baby), 2011년의 Boy on the Bike 이 세 영화 모두에 Jeremie Renier가 나온다. Promesse에서는 범죄자 양아버지를 돕는 소년이고 L'Enfant에서는 철부지 아버지이자 좀도둑, Boy on the Bike에서는 자신의 아들을 무참히 버리는(고아원에 보낸다.) 아버지로 나온다. 2008년에 어이없이 죽어버리는 Lorna's Silence만 빼면 영화 세 개가 잘 연결이 된다. 범죄자 양아버지 밑에서 범죄의 길에 들어선 뒤(Promesse) 20대 초반에는 좀도둑으로 지내다가 아들을 낳게 되고  (L'Enfant) 30대가 되어서는 귀찮다고 아들을 버리는 냉정한 아버지(Boy on the Bike). 한 인물의 이야기라고 해도 잘 연결이 된다. 이렇게 위 세 영화를 보니, 벨기에에서 사는 하층민이 겪는 생존의 문제가 연대기로 그려진다.

늙어가는 모든 존재는 비가 샌다 비가 새는 모든 늙은 존재들이 새 지붕을 얹듯 사랑을 꿈꾼다 심보선 [슬픔이 없는 십오초] 중 발췌 심보선 시와 James Blake 곡이 묘하게 어울린다. 

Usually I don't try to find new music. Most of my friend recommend this song for their favorite of 2011. Indeed nice music.

Always I tell my favorite writer is Edgar Allen Poe. But I just read a few short story by him and some poems. So I planned to read all of short story. The first short story is [The Angel of the Odd]. That was written in strange English word. So for me, Korean, reading that was not easy. That story is a guy in disastrous fortune. That reminds me Nathanael West's [A Cool Million]. Both story are about guy disastrously ill fortune but both story are regard as black comedy. The guy in the story raged at the hoax that he read in the news paper. Whenever I got stressed a lot, I watch horror movies. Last weekend I watched several horror movies. Most of movies listed below are not recommendable but some movies are nice. And I don't want to do mistake that I would watch these movies again after forgetting those movies. 1. Dread(dir:Antony DiBlasi, USA, 2009) Just so so movie Young guy took experiment about people's panic. There are not so many violent scene in the movie. Most of horror came out from imagination. This movie spurred my horror so well. Also the movie itself has nice twist ending. But rhythm of movie was very lose. Most of virtues of this movie came from original novel by Clive Barker. Clive Barker seemed satisfied with this movie judging from his interview . 2. Tucker and Dale vs Evil(dir: Eli Craig, USA, 2010) Awesome and very brilliant comic horror movie. Simple string arrangement and powerful voice. Formerly I was fan of Lenny Kravits but I found that his music style was not original. Betty Davis is origin of Lenny Kravits' funk and soulful rock style. She was Betty Mabry but she married Miles Davis(Yes, that Miles Davis) so she was known as Betty Davis. Miles Davis admitted that she influenced his great album "Bitches Brew". And it is believed that she had affair with Jimi Hendrix.

네이버 블로그로 다시 돌아가고 싶다는 생각을 많이 한다. 구글 블로그는 UI가 형편없거나 우리 나라 사람에게 잘 안맞거나. 심지어 네이버 블로그에 글을 다시 쓰는 꿈도 꾸었다. 그래서 오늘 네이버 블로그로 돌아가는 대신 구글 블로그를 다시 써야겠다고 생각했다. 대학원을 다니고 있어서, 과 친구들의 동향과 과의 정보를 파악하려면 페이스북이 필수지만, 페이스 북 할 때마다 그 허세 가득한 사진들에 심각한 정신적 대미지를 입고 있다. (물론 나도 그 허세에 크게 가담하고 있다마는...) 어젠 시외로 갈 일이 있어서 버스에서 놋북으로 [재키 브라운]을 보았다. [재키 브라운]은 항상 타란티노의 최고작으로 뽑았는데, 다시 보아도 좋았다. 영화 미학적이나 여러 모로 따지자면 [펄프 픽션]이나 [저수지의 개들]이 더 우수하겠지만, 타란티노의 첫번째 "로맨스" 영화다. 재키 브라운(팜 그리어)가 체리(로버트 포스터)에게 "나이가 드는 것에 대해 어떻게 느끼느냐?"라고 묻고 답하는 장면도 좋고, 재키 브라운이 차를 타고 떠나는 장면을 그냥 멍하니 바라만 보고 있는 장면, 혼자 운전하면서 차 안에서 나오는 Bobby Womack의 Across 110th Street의 가사를 따라 부르는 장면도 좋다. 악당으로 나온 사뮤엘 잭슨은 너무 연기를 잘해서 꿈에서 나올까 걱정이 될 정도였다.
